Welcome to Farm La Festa is a weekend in which farms from all over Catalonia open their doors to show us the fields, herds, boats and workshops. Two unique days to rediscover where everything we eat comes from and get to know the people who make the food that reaches our homes and an opportunity to fill the pantry by buying directly from the producer.
The 2022 edition will be in person during the first weekend of October (October 1 and 2).
As a farm that has processed the Proximity Sale seal, or fishermen who are interested in fishing-tourism, we encourage you to participate in this initiative that seeks to make known the origin of what we eat, to value the work of the producers from all over the Catalan territory and promote the local sale of our food.
See the participation requirements.
The period for processing the request to participate in Welcome to farm ends on June 30
- VISITS BY RESERVATION
This year, and for the second consecutive year, visits will be managed through a reservation system. Farms participating in Welcome to farm will have a self-management reservation tool through the web so that anyone who wishes can visit during the established times and undertake to attend visits during the following hours:
- Saturday October 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Sunday, October 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and optionally from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Welcome to farm organization is not responsible for the correct application of the safety recommendations by the farms with the users of the visits received and for any of the consequences that may arise.
Welcome to farm is an initiative of the Generalitat, through the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda and the Catalan Tourism Agency, with the collaboration of the Alicia Foundation, the Regional Councils, consortia and offices of tourism, regional offices of the DACC and various entities and associations in the sector.
Once again, the organization of the project counts on the involvement of Welcome to farm Delegates (DBs), the reference persons of the project in each region.
PARTICIPATION DATA PREVIOUS EDITIONS
Welcome to farm has so far, in the six previous editions, attracted nearly 100,000 visitors with a stable annual offer of 200 farms, more than a hundred restaurants, 200 rural accommodations and a hundred complementary activities (guided tours, fairs gastronomy, nature tours, talks, concerts and exhibitions, among others) that make a great rural weekend possible.
ECONOMIC CONTRIBUTION TO PARTICIPATING TERRITORIES
The Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda, through Prodeca, supports the territorial promotion of the Welcome to farm project in its 7th edition.
Prodeca will provide support with a direct contribution to the territories participating in the project.
The financial contributions will be used to strengthen the project's communication and dissemination work.
The communication tasks that best suit the needs of the area will be centralized by each Welcome to farm (DB) regional delegate. Some examples of these actions are: graphic design of promotional material, printing of communication materials, or other communication proposals that will be validated by Prodeca.
COLLABORATION CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- A maximum contribution per territory of €600 + VAT is established.
In order to justify the amounts allocated to each promotional task and to be able to pay them, we will need to receive from Prodeca the supporting invoices from external suppliers. In all cases there must be external contracting expenses with a corresponding explanation of concepts, quantities and qualities on the invoice. Mileage and per diem expenses will be exempt.
Prodeca reserves the right to accept supporting documents (invoices may therefore be rejected) in the event that the contracted object is not clear or is not clearly linked to the Welcome to farm project.
You can consult this same release on the Prodeca website and on the BaP intranet.
